I am using flight gear for flight simulation.
My visual with the aircraft imported in it is not having a smooth movement. The frame rate is very less while tiles are loaded. And this is reflected in the visual. This results in a visual with aircraft and scenery having jerks during the fly through.
We are using the scenery of India (particularly the sceneries are E070N10, E080N10, E070N20) downloaded from Flight Gear World Map.
The 3D model are in *.ac(AC3D) file format. The aircraft size is approximately 900KB.
Please suggest some ideas to increase the frame rate during tile loading, and to reduce the 3D model file size. What are the other 3D models files formats supported by Flight Gear? Expecting your reply at the earliest.
