Force feedback is rarely used under Linux.
I have yet to use a simulator or game that uses Force Feedback under Linux.

Force feedback is often just a gimmick that has little to do with forces
experienced in real life.
Example : The joystick shaking like crazy when touching down on a smooth
tarmac in some "games". Last time I checked the elevator wasn't attached to
the landing gear ...

The only place I've found it useful is for simulating the stiffening of
control surfaces at high speed and the sloppiness at low speed.

The Saitek Cyborg Evo joysticks seem to be well supported under Linux.
My MS Sidewinder FF Pro (no longer in production) works fine too but others
seem to have hassles.

I'm sure others can add to the list.

Regards
Paul
