hi Folks,

Back again...same problem, different day. Installed MEPIS 3.3-4 and FlightGear
9.9.1, thinking the newer MEPIS would do a better job recognizing USB yoke
and pedals. Not so.

Installed Linux mepis1 2.6.15-1-586tsc #2 PREEMPT Mon Jan 30 19:39:26 EST 2006
i686 GNU/Linux

When I did "dmesg | grep Joystick" the result was:
> input: USB HID v1.00 Joystick [CH PRODUCTS CH PRO PEDALS USB ] on
> usb-0000:00:07.2-1
> input: USB HID v1.00 Joystick [CH PRODUCTS CH FLIGHT SIM YOKE USB ] on
> usb-0000:00:07.2-2
So, it looks like the items are detected.

> Joystick test program.
> ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
> Joystick 0 not detected
> Joystick 1 not detected
> Joystick 2 not detected
> Joystick 3 not detected
> Joystick 4 not detected
> Joystick 5 not detected
> Joystick 6 not detected
> Joystick 7 not detected

Now, I need newbie help. Short cryptic answers cause another email asking
clarification, so if you can, give me some links to explore or step-by-step
things I can do. That would be much appreciated.

TIA,
Dick
