Hi Martin,
I have *not* :-)
Coded the last evening to make the "grayed" buttons on the window page
functional.
And - more important - did a lot of tests with MAP and old terrain-files
*and* with the new 0.9.10 ones.
I could create nice *.png with the new terrain-files for the local area.
And tested it with FG 0.9.9 and Atlas and the new created *.png.
All works fine here.
So you can download FGTools 139-15 from my webside.
http://home.arcor.de/vollnhals-bremen/Martin/FGTools13915.zip
This is *not* the release version as some little improvements should be
done but this is the version I work with daily - so it should work for
you, too.
Don't be irritated by the new stuff which is undocumented for now (that
is why it is not a release version :-) ).
You must only use the "windows" page to do the things you want and this
stuff is pretty simple and like the old FGTools version, mostly.
To select one of your installed aircrafts, create a list first
(button!), FGTools searches what a/c you have first.
To select an airport you should have an *unzipped* (uncompressed)
apt.dat file in your FG\\data\Airports folder.
WinZip does it fine: apt.dat.gz -> apt.dat
After that you have to use the last page of FGTools (APlist) and press
the first button "Create FGTools Airport list". This work can last
pretty long depending on the power your PC has. With that you have
created a list for *all* airports of the world.
If you only want to select from airports you have installed (scenery!)
then the second step is a) Select your Scenery Folder by pressing the
button "Select Scenery Folder" and b) use the button "Create Installed
Airport List".
With these steps (only once to do) you can then use the button "new
list" of the Windows page and select an airport (ICAO and Name) from the
list. There is also a search function, give the name or ICAO in the box
and press "Search".
For Atlas and Map you have to select the FlightGear base folder (that is
simply the "MyFlightGear" folder, all other boxes should be autofilled
except the "Path to Atlas Pics" box.
After having created the *.png with map you can select the data/atlas
folder and then use all the Atlas functions.
Have another look at the doc for the first FGTools version (html) which
I enclosed also to that new one until I have made a better doc.
Ok, this for short as I have only some hours left to sleep.
Hope it works for you.
Best regards
Georg :-)
BTW: please give feedback after download as I want to clean my website!
