Hello Lee: Thank you for pointing me in a direction, which I have followed.
I have reinstalled afresh FG9.9. Running the application directly from FGFS, with the base package and no updated scenery, the c-172 sits at KSFO no problem. Cannot change a/c. With the same installation I use FGRun, same scenery, not updated and both the c-172 and B737 are sitting at KSFO no problem. >From the above we can say there is no problem with the installation and that the download was complete, or was it? The next stage gave an insight that other may like to give their input. Before, I would use Atlas and Multiplayer, which means that in the FG Wizard the Atlas and Multi Player boxes were checked and the information rendered as required. Never had a problem with this. This time I check and completed the Multiplayer boxes and all worked fine, but not at the same time as Atlas. Doing the same for atlas and I would find that I have all the same problems as before. I downloaded the updated scenery for w130n30 and noted it was placed in ...\data\Scenery\Terrain and also in Objects. Running FG, but without Atlas checked, I refreshed the airports and all the airports were there. KSFO with the c-172 and the B737 started with no problem. Ran the same as above, but with Atlas checked etc and I had the same problems as before. I downloaded the scenery for w10n50 (UK including London Heathrow). Even without Atlas checked, I had all the same problems as before. When looking at it more closely, FG Wizard had the UK airports for that scenery. The files were sitting in ...\data\Scenery\Terrain and Objects, but in the MS-DOS screen was this amongst all the other text: "FG Interface is being called without scenery below the aircraft". So, yes, there is a glitch somewhere, but each time I download it is there and which was the start of all these problems when I mentioned it a few weeks back after the upgrade for Atlas was announced. To continue, when I open Atlas, the updated and expanded w130n30 is there, but w10n50 is not! Georg has sent me a fresh download to FGTools, which I will download on the base FG package. In the meantime if we can crack the problem that seems to be around Atlas/Scenery we should be home and dry before my next snow arrives tomorrow. I hope I have clarified as best as possible and that solutions can be found. Thanks to all who have responded.
