Hi,

I must be doing something wrong, cause I cannot seem to get my object show up
where I expect it to be.

I tried my own object as well as some existing objects. STATIC or SHARED, never
seen anything showing.

Please inspect the details below, and help me to proceed.

1. The coordinates are 45.318967N and 75.670182E (in tile 1712593.stg) right at
the middle of runway 14/32 of Ottawa airport (CYOW).

2.
FG_SCENERY=/ob/yavuz/fgYoScenery:/usr/share/games/FlightGear/Scenery:/ob/fgWorldScenery

3. Here is the listing of the first element ls -R /ob/yavuz/fgYoScenery
/ob/yavuz/fgYoScenery:
Objects/

/ob/yavuz/fgYoScenery/Objects:
w080n40/

/ob/yavuz/fgYoScenery/Objects/w080n40:
w076n45/

/ob/yavuz/fgYoScenery/Objects/w080n40/w076n45:
1712593.stg  1712593.stg.ORIG  myObject.ac

4. The diff between 1712593.stg.ORIG and 1712593.stg is this one line added:
    OBJECT_STATIC myObject.ac -075.670182 45.318967 0 180

Hi Yavuz
either your coordinates you told us are wrong or your calculation.

I put your values into my FGTools and as I got quite other values I did not trust my conversion of Melchiors perl script and controlled FGTools values with the original! "calc-tile.pl" script.
Both had the same results which are quite different from yours

Here is the output of the perl script:
$ perl calc-tile.pl 75.670182 45.318967
Longitude: 75.670182
Latitude:  45.318967
Tile:      4186578
Path:      "e070n40/e075n45/4186578.stg"

Mmm, please check the data you gave us and if they are right check how you calculated that very diffent STG file!
