Hi,
this is just to inform you what is going on in the "FlightGear 3d-modeller department" where we have got some nice actitities in Germany over the last months.

Roberto is a known as a very, very busy 3d-modeller with very nice contributions (ie. lighthouses) and actually working on a Wiesbaden scenery (for the Linux day) and improvements/add-ons for EDDF (Frankfurt/Main) airport. If you want to see some nice pics of his recent developments (taxiway-signs, blast-deflectors with little lamps and light-masts) which are a further improvement for the dark FlightGear world at night you might have a look at the German FlightGear forum,
this post is in English language:

Gates, lightmasts, blast-deflectors, taxi-signs:

Here you can see some pics from the upcoming Wiesbaden/Linux day scenery (German and English)

Sebastinan's (Seb's) Frankfurt/Main and Rhine scenery:

And there are also Martin C. (Hamburg, Northern Germany), Torsten (Hamburg, Northern Germany), Thomas(Berlin), Mark(Stuttgart), Jens Thoms(Berlin) and me(Bremen, Weser) who created or are still working on further models/sceneries for Germany. (Hope I did not forget anyone, sorry if so)

So stay tuned, within the next months you could get some nice VFR flight experiences in Germany! And this post is also aimed to motivate some FG users of other parts of the world to get a little active with populating their local area :-)
Regards
Georg EDDW
