Did you try doing your own build of the latest OpenAL source?

Have you noticed any crashes related to OpenAL on Intel machines with
a native build? That's the issue that stopped me from doing a
Universal binary for 0.9.10. It doesn't crash instantly, but usually
with 60 seconds of showing the cockpit.
