Right.  So this means that you're trying to use a feature that
requires OpenGL extensions that your video card or OpenGL
library are not capable. Your choices are:

1.  replace your video card and/or OpenGL library;

2.  stop using the feature of FlightGear that requires
that extension.

Obviously in the short term, #2 is the cheaper/easier choice, except
that I'm not sure which FG feature uses RenderTexture -- 3D clouds,
perhaps?  Maybe someone here who knows more than I do will comment
on where RenderTexture is used.  In the meantime, I'd disable all my
rendering features and add them back one by one and see.  If you're
using some kind of a graphical launcher to start FlightGear, I'd
disable 3d clouds, horizon effect, specular reflection, etc.
Disable it all, then add it back one by one and see where the
problem comes.
