Hi,
(I am using FlightGear 0.9.10)
- I would like to modify the mass properties of a
given civil (let say a B747) aircraft which uses the jsb
flight-model.
I already have created a
default <aero></aero> model with JSBSim. In my opinion, this
<aero> configuration file is just to describe the general aircraft limits
and performances. I now, want to define the actual weight
( mass distribution due to passengers, cargo, etc... ) of the
aircraft before any take-off, of course without modifying the <aero>
configuration file.
I don't mind doing this purpose by editing the aircraft-set.xml file or by
using the "Fuel and Payload" panel which can be access from FlightGear equipment
menu. My problem is that I don't know which Flightgear properties tree to edit to
obtain a correct configuration (I mean that I want to be sure that the behavior
of the aircraft is computed by Flightgear with respect of the <aero>
performances against my custom load settings even if the thoses settings
exceed the limitations, which case should somehow demage the aircraft
resulting flight performances - acceleration distance too long, not
cleared with expected takeoff or go around slope (%) requirements,
etc... - ).
Can someone explain which propeties proposes FlightGear to comply whith the
previous tasks for a JSBSim aircraft.
Thanks for your answers.
Regards.
