Hi,
I've only been using FlightGear for about a month so this might be an already solved issue, but i'd like to ask for your help anyway. So, there's this handy little utility called "Atlas". I always use it to plan my flights. As i live in Hungary (and yes i'm Hungarian... so sorry for my English :-) ), i thought i'd fly around my hometown, see how it looks like from above. Now, to get to the point: i use terrasync to get the scenery as i fly. In Atlas i see, that the airport i want to start at is LHTA, Taszar, and it IS in the database - at least according to Atlas. The problem: when I fly there, there's absolutely no airport there. The scenery around the airport is downloaded, Map succesfully made the images for use with Atlas so there should be no problem with that. I tried to delete the scenery files and then re-download them, but that didn't help. I'd really appreciate any help.

Yours, Abesto

Hi,

ATLAS does find it because the regarding files are in the FlightGear TERRAIN folder

...\data\Scenery\Terrain\e010n40\e017n46

BUT!!!

Robin Peels database
810 Version - DAFIF data cycle 200513, build 1990, metadata AptXP810, Copyright © 2005, Robin A. Peel

\data\Airports\apt.dat(gz)

does not know it :-/

You might give Robin Peel the data but don't be too hopefull as I mailed several times to him and never got a reaction, good or bad!
