We could and should have a Vulcan by all means, but NOT as a tanker. The
Valiant and then the Victor were converted to the tanker role, but never the
Vulcan. The Valiant had a short career as a tanker, terminated when the main
spar (IIRC) was found to be cracking, and beyond economical repair.
