Hi, was just browsing the data base......man have you guys been busy!!! I have looked at most of the models and now I want to download and install France....all of it!!!!
Question, what kind of load does putting all that scenery in the sim make on the video card? I have an Nvidia 6600 TD (not the GT version...that cost around another NZ$100, and the card already cost me NZ$350...), w/256Mb of ram? I have had problems with MSFS and the amount of scenery you can run (Ihave a custom setup that has most things turned either off or down so as to make the sim run a little faster....that and those damn .BGL fles that MSFS uses...), and understand that .xml is much faster (some MSFS scenery for NZ is in xml and runs really nice!!), but what can I get away with? I also run X-Plane and that runs faster but still cant run that much scenery as the refresh rate tends to get jerky. Sorry for the rambles....just want nice scenery to fly with/in/around/over (sometimes under with the way I fly...). Also, the scenery is in individual files that need to be placed via FTools?? or is it a complete package that you donwloand and install in the scenery folder (under the DATA folder that is...).....
