Hi Sid,

I use a Mad Catz Panther DX.  Kernel 2.6.12 and below work with it.
Kernels 2.6.14 and 2.6.15 detect the stick, but cat'ting /dev/input/js0
doesn't work right.  I get ~152 bytes and then nothing.  Replugging the
stick doesn't fix the problem.  The patch Vasillii posted here awhile
back won't apply, the file has been radically re-written.  I'm sure
others have this problem, but I've been unable to craft a successful
google search.

I suspect Dick is hitting the same/similar problem.
