Take this step with care.  I don't mean to discourage you -- I
generally run testing, myself -- but it's important to know what
you're getting into.  For instance, you comment that one of the
reasons for switching from unstable to testing is breakage; but
breakage happens in testing too.  Not as frequently, and it's
typically a different sort of breakage (e.g. uninstallable
packages because of unsatisfied dependancies when something
came down from unstable to testing, but not all its dependancies
made it for some reason), but breakage does happen.  More
importantly, when stuff does get broken, it can take *much
longer* to get fixed.  About a year before Sarge came out,
for instance, KDE was fundamentally broken in testing for about
four months.

Testing isn't really a distribution that's intended for general
use; a lot of people think that it's some kind of intermediate
state between stable and unstable; it isn't.  It's a different
animal entirely.
