Actually the buildings are in the right place (according to the FAA at 
least) - it's the river that's wrong. Objects can be placed 
interactively using the UFO - press ? for a list of the keys after 
starting flightgear with the UFO.

There's no support for scaling objects at runtime (unless the scale is 
tied to a property in the xml file associated with the model). While it 
would be possible to do this you then have the problem of setting the 
properties for each model included in the scenery. It may be possible to 
extend the stg format to handle this, but IME generic bridge models 
don't really work that well because there's so much variation.

That can already be done - it requires changes to the base data set 
we're using (VMAP0 data is very coarse - see the german scenery for how 
well it can work when the source data is a lot better).
