If by successful, we mean "a significant number of passengers survived," this isn't true. Ethiopian Airlines Flt 961, a 767 which ditched near the Comoros islands after hijackers forced the plane to fly beyond fuel limitations, is one. Smaller commercial A/C (including a 737) have pulled it off with few or no fatalities.
