Have you ever tried turning a cruise ship with an oar?
Neither have I, but I have worked for corporations. Suggest Linux to
most of them and you get the phone slammed in your ear - I could tell
you of experiences, perhaps another time. I bet the mention of support
for other OS's turns out to be Mac only.
I'm a huge linux fan myself, and have it running on all but one of my machiines. But just to keep this conversation rooted in realty ...
When I look at the web stats for the FlightGear project which is extremely linux and open-source friendly, I see that 97% of all visiters are running, guess what? Windows! Only 3% of the web site visitors are running Linux.
Hmmm, if I was just playing the numbers, 3% seems like a pretty small minority.
Now pretend you are a TV show (and not an open-source project) I suspect that would bias the numbers even *further* in the direction of Windows.
