The prototype also had an aspect ratio of 1.68 with a rectangular center section and elliptical tips. It used stabilons mounted on widely spaced tail booms for pitch and roll control, and almost full flying rudders for yaw. Over the years the landing gear varied between 3 and 8 feet long, always a taildragger with 2 tailwheels and 2 mains. There was a retractable main version that never flew because I never could get the weight down to legal limits (253 Lbs. empty), but it sure looked neat, and the cruise drag would have been cut a little bit. All versions I made used the same 5.00 X 5 tires and wheels, literally. I used the same set of tires every time I changed the configuration of the airplane. One other thing was the stabilons had zero adverse yaw, I could fly without ever using my feet on the rudder pedals if it hadn't been for crosswind landings. I don't have any pictures left, someone threw then all away a few years ago.
