The Tiger, manufactured by Grumman Aircraft (designator AG5B) and by American
Aircraft (AA5B), then out of production for quite a lot of years, and has
recently been back in (and out of) production again:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tiger_Aircraft

It is a four seat fixed gear civilian aircraft, better visibility and nicer
handling than the C172 family, matches the cruise performance of the
retractable C72R without the inconvenience of Vlo or Vle (or forgetting to put
the gear down). I second the request for an AA5B model, partly because I like
flying the model and partly because I think it'll also be more interesting than
a C172 as a simulator model. Unlike many of the other aircraft we have, the
AA5B is one that many pilots can relatively easily get flying time in.
