Just a note. All the FG videos I've made are created using xvidcap
(xvidcap.sf.net). That is grabing frames and encoding it on the fly. Of
course, that slows down FG fps a bit, probably from say >60fps to
30-40fps. This is on a P4 2.4G. Mind you I'm only capturing 25fps, and
I'm sure there will be dropped frames. And oh that's with audio
capturing/encoding on the fly too.
And btw, ffmpeg's x11grab code is based on xvidcap's, or so I was
told.
