Hi Ed,

you need to specify the data directory by --fg-root=....

I start fg with this line:
c:\fgmsvc\flightgear\source\projects\VC8\Release\FlightGear.exe 
--fg-root=c:/fgmsvc/fg-cvs/data --aircraft=%1
