I don't know if this is a different flavour of a problem I have had

Nothing works after a reboot, no movement registered in js_demo, jstest
sees them, but says all the controls and buttons are broken. I unplug
and replug yoke then pedals so they remain as js0 and js1 respectively,
then everything works.
Looks like some kind of race condition during boot. I got a response
from Greg Kroah-Hartmun who passed it on to the usb developers from whom
there has been total silence.
It's definitely a kernel problem, happens across all boxes, direct or
via a hub, Mandriva and openSUSE. No other USB devices have problems.

Hi Sid,
This seems to be fixed - no replug required - after upgrading to Ubuntu
Feisty (2.6.20).
