Yes, Pigeon has said that mpmap01.flightgear.org will be out of action for a
while. Meanwhile mpmap02.flightgear.org is fully functional.

As far as I know the site experienced technical problems possibly
related to the mpmap software and decided to disable it.
You can use mpmap02.flightgear.org instead.
