Its a good thing I didn't know all that when I tried. On 7/1 OpenSceneGraph was at 2.0 I believe and I compiled everything including OSG following the Flightgear and FG wiki pages instructions on Debian Etch and Lenny. Just remember to get the Dev libraries if it calls for something you think you already have, I ran into a minor problem when almost done while compiling the FG binary and it failed because of not finding libosg.so?? and I just linked it from the directory it was looking for them in. Note: I am the least versed person on this list when it comes to linux and flightgear and I only respond when I have to. Good Luck.
