Go to your root Flightgear folder to preferences.xml and enable the nimitz scenario if it is not already. Change false to true. This is covered in the wiki link above. If you go to your Flightgear folder and open /AI/nimitz_demo.xml with an editor and change the speed to 0, when flying multiplayer everyone's Nimitz will show up in the same spot and not move. As the carriers start moving when you start Flightgear everyones will be in a different position. What version of FlightGear are you using? The Gruman A6 has the easiest tacan to use to find the carrier. I don't know how it works on 9.10. If you get the above set up and go on the MP server and enable chat under rendering options (show chat) and ask someone will take you out to the carrier.
