Dominic,

This is from the FlightGear download page.

http://www.flightgear.org/Downloads/aircraft/

"To install these aircraft, download the .tgz archive to your local hard drive,
and extract them into your Aircraft folder. For windows users, this will be
located in C:\Program Files\FlightGear\data\Aircraft
  If you need a .tgz extractor for windows, consider http://www.7-zip.org/";
Each aircraft you add needs to end up in its own subfolder in the Aircraft
folder.

Best Regards,
Paul B

downloaded a few aircraft that are in GZ file format. The website I got thses
from isn't very useful with installation tips. Can anyone tell me what I do
with these files to get them on to my flightgear? I'm running version 9.10 on
XP. Thanks
