Christian,

I guess the cause of the crash on 0.9.10 is that the texture  
resolution of 3D clouds somehow turned out to be 0.
In this case, you can try 64, 128 or 256 from Texture resolution on  
View >> Rendering Options.

This crash also occurs on Mac OS X when you run 0.9.10 after playing  
with either 0.9.11-pre1 or CVS version.
I guess this happen due to some difference in the preference file  
among different versions.
