If you can find out exacty where SuSE tucked away the FlightGear data tree
on your system, then you can run with ...

fgfs --fg-root=/the/suse/path/to/the/FlightGear/data/tree

You should see a directory called "data" with files like "preferences.xml"
and "version" and subdirectories like "Aircraft", "Scenery", "Sounds", and
"Textures".
