I suspect you didn't (don't) have the development portions of glut installed
on your system
$ rpm -qa | grep glut
freeglut-devel-2.4.0-14.fc9.i386
freeglut-2.4.0-14.fc9.i386
If you missed this, you may need to go back and rebuild plib, simgear, and
flightgear after it is installed.
