Tried to post this via Gmane news, but it failed, so here is a new attmpt.

What can I do to fix the hat switch?
I have a WinXP-Pro PC with the latest FG downloaded and installed just a few
days ago.
In order to get rudder I had to copy a Logitech definition file and name it as
force_3d_pro_usb.xml. I also added the detected name into its name list. Then I
got rudder so I no longer slide off the runway on takeoff.

But the hat switch is very strange, if I hit it to the left it shows the left
hand view and hit to the right it shows the righthand view.
But pushing it forward shows the rearward view and to start looking forward I
have to pull the hat backwards. Not really intuitive...

How can I change this?
I do not understand very well how it all works and the getting started doc is
all wrong too. It tells me to use a non-existing program (js_demo) to calibrate
the joystick and it tells me to look in nonexisting folders for the files (it
seems not to know thta everything is stuffed into a subdir named data)...
One would expect the doc to at least not mislead such things. :-(

Anyways I would also like to know how to set the trim using joystick buttons.
Also nice to be able to reduce the sensitivity of the stick, now it is like
steering an aerobatic plane when it is a plain old Cessna 172..
