If you are happy with your solution, then you obviously don't need it.

Not exactly problems. The view will just be focused on a wrong elevation,
which will change as you fly along.

That's because you wrote:

  <enabled type="bool" userarchive="y">true</enabled>

and the "userarchive" flag saved <view n="7">...</view> to your
%APPDATA%\flightgear.org\autosave.xml file. Just remove that part
from the file.
