I agree with Tas as the problematic. Recreation of real life and devastation are tragic. Having actually been to nagagasaki and hiroshima, passendale, somme and stalingrad ,I have shed a few tears. Particular is the fact that its "man" made destruction/death delivered from an aircraft, and that is why were here as its a simulation of flying an aircraft. Most of the aircraft in FG are civilian. Its not a bomb-bay platform, but rather a "platform" for actually sitting at home on your sofa and "being there". As its a simulation, we can also create other Mp events such as * 9/11 in a simulation * Stallingrad * Pearl habour * Falkland Islands boming run * Rescue mission to piper alpha * Battle of britain * Dresden * and other historic events from other theaters * Or just simply a civilian pilot, who wants to land in some country the other side of the pond. Whichever way it runs, there is pain. However, we can turn around the offensive aspect into an understanding of the historic event and its consequences. ie a flight plan, being pilot with the plane, nav at the time, same weather conditions et all and thereby turn it into "historic simulation" which one would have to fly. With all the humour aside, my belief is that simulating "events" and actually in a way, flying the mission will bring some grasp of reality into the conscious. This way one can be in the role of offender and defender et all, Somehow in a wild mind boggling sense we can actually recreate those scenarios within a fake realitly simulation, sitting at home. And as we get older and wiser, we could fly the same missions pretending to be either side, the reality will get realier. pete > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ > Come build with us!
