Well I am using openSuSE11.2 RC2 and X is using NVIDIA-Linux-x86-190.32-pkg1.run kernel which I compiled with my CPU type and not i586. So I have 2.6.31.5 and it is in /lib/modules/2.6.31.5 and /boot I am running NVs .run mentioned above. I suspect it is the problem. I do have a NV bootsplash and glxgears fails (as suspected) ~> glxgears glxgears: Error: glXCreateContext failed. I am compiling as I type a true kernel.org 2.6.31.5 and will try with is a 180.17.run after rebooting -- 73 de Donn Washburn 307 Savoy Street Email:" n5...@comcast.net " Sugar Land, TX 77478 LL# 1.281.242.3256 Ham Callsign N5XWB HAMs : " n5...@arrl.net " VoIP via Gizmo: bmw_87kbike / via Skype: n5xwbg BMW MOA #: 4146 - Ambassador " http://counter.li.org " #279316 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Let Crystal Reports handle the reporting - Free Crystal Reports 2008 30-Day trial.
