I have Flightgear 1.9.1 installed in Arch Linux. I tried to follow the Seneca II howto from http://wiki.flightgear.org/index.php/Seneca_II_HOWTO , but I saw some weirdness in performance.
I chose the cold start and started the engines as said in the checklist. I took off with 40" manifold and maximum mixture and throttle. After raising the gear and accelerating to 100kts (31"/2500) the plane still gained altitude but slower than I'd expected; 100-300 feets per second. With the first run I wasn't alarmed by the slow rate of climb but after seeing it repeated I decided to write this message. After leveling at 2000ft with 28"/2400RPM I expected to have 130 kts as stated by the howto, but instead I got 80 kts which is near the stall-speed. Am I doing something wrong, or is this the expected performance? -- Mats Rauhala sip:mas...@ekiga.net
