Under your Flight Gear data directory you should have a file called 
Input/Joysticks/Saitek/Pro-Flight-Yoke.xml look through it with a text 
editor / file viewer and you can see what is assigned to where. And if you 
get adventurous, you can edit it, too.

Is the switch panel identified as a joystick? I don't have one of those 
here...
