hi Scot, I too at the time of starting out with flight gear was totally blind, we tried different solutions for controlling the Plane, getting output from the instruments. The way it works today is as following: you have all of the planes sounds playing out through what ever the mac uses, and all of the information you need going out through Espeak, reason, Espeak is really fast. I would say a easier plane too start with is our Storch. if you need any help you can join us on irc.
