JEFFERSON STARSHIP TO HEADLINE. CBS' ROCKSTAR SUPERNOVA/INXS ALUMNI ALSO
SCHEDULED TO PERFORM

Tickets and more info at http://www.summer67.com

Monterey, CA. June 21, 2007 - Five of the original acts who performed at
the '67 Monterey Pop Festival, Jefferson Starship, Quicksilver Messenger
Service, Big Brother and the Holding Company featuring Cathy Richardson
of "Love Janis" fame, The Electric Flag and the Grateful Dead's Tom
Constanten have been confirmed. Headlining the event is RIDERS ON THE
STORM featuring Robby Krieger and Ray Manzarek of THE DOORS with new
front man Brett Scallions formerly of "Fuel".

JUST ADDED! ...to include a youthful presence to the festival as
promised, festival director Andrew Hernandez has booked Alumni from CBS'
popular TV competition, ROCKSTAR Supernova/INXS featuring the house band
and Star performers Marty Casey, Storm Large, Ty Taylor, Dilana and
Lukas Rossi the winner of the Supernova series! Hernandez wants to
attract the surging young activists from around the World. "The
Parallels of 1967 and 2007 are surreal", says Hernandez. "We have to get
today's youth out from behind their text messaging and Play Stations
long enough to create something meaningful and beautiful-we need to get
them involved in the struggles of humanity." Other young, up and coming
acts performing are "The Fast Camels" from the UK and Geffen recording
artists "Price".

Also added is Alam Khan , son of the world famous Ali Akbar Khan who
performs the north Indian classical music also popularized by Ravi
Shankar during the 60's and at Monterey in '67.

The festival taking place at the Monterey County Fairgrounds, will
celebrate the 40 th Anniversary of six major music events of 1967. The
Summer of Love, The Monterey Pop Festival, the release of the Beatles
Sgt. Pepper's Album, The Doors 'Light My Fire', the musical "Hair" and
the birth of Pink Floyd.

Along with Riders On The Storm performing a long list of Doors hits are
Carlton Poward as Jimi Hendrix, Second Flyte as The Byrds, The Sun Kings
performing The Beatles Sgt. Peppers album with an orchestra, songs from
the hit '67 musical "Hair" performed by the Stagelight Troupe with some
original cast members and The Floyd Project, a tribute to Pink Floyd, so
all 40 th anniversaries are represented with a live performance!

Also scheduled to perform from the 60's are David LaFlamme and the music
of It's a Beautiful Day, and some surprise guests. Other tribute acts
include The Mamas and the Papas, The Who, Led Zeppelin and Steppenwolf
performed by San Francisco 's Summer of Love Revue. The Unauthorized
Rolling Stones and The RaveUps a Yardbirds tribute.
TO HONOR VETERANS and BABYBOOMERS the general festival will be free to
those showing Military/Veterans ID or ID confirming age of at least 50.
This free entrance is to the general festival, second stage, attractions
and exhibits but does not include entrance to the main arena
performances.

The event will also feature exhibits of '60s memorabilia, including arts
and crafts and appearances of famous poster artists such as Lee Conklin,

Free entrance for Vets & Baby Boomers!
Moby Grape - Featured 60's Poster Artists

We have decided to honor our Military, Veterans and Baby Boomers by
making the general festival free for them to attend! Just show your
AARP, military or veterans card at the gate on the day/s you attend and
you're in for free. You can enjoy all the exhibits, attractions and
second stage performances but does not include entrance to the main
stage. If there are any tickets available for the main stage on the day
of show we will discount them for Military, Vets and Baby Boomers. To
qualify as a Baby Boomer you must be at least 50 years old.

After much back and forth and searching for the actual decision makers
in the MOBY GRAPE camp we have now come to the conclusion that the
reunion as we had hoped to present of Moby Grape is not going to happen.
We're very sorry as we were really looking forward to the possibility of
presenting this long anticipated reunion at our event. Depending on who
you talk to or what you read the issue seems to be that they feel
they're not ready to perform at a level they're comfortable with. As we
plan to promote this festival annually, perhaps we can feature them next
year! All of us and I'm sure their fans wish them the best and can't
wait for them to perform as a group once again. To make up for this loss
we are negotiating with a couple of other worthy acts and will announce
them as soon as we have them confirmed.

We are organizing a great line-up of 60's poster artists who will be on
hand to sign and sell their pieces of historic and recent artworks
including Tom Wilkes, the artist who designed the original Monterey Pop
Festival poster, Lee Conklin who is designing a new poster for this
event, Cactus Pete and Grant with SF Rock Posters among others.

We will also keep you posted on other Summer of Love celebrations
especially the SF Summer of Love concert on September 2nd at Speedway
Meadows! Go to www.2b1records.com/summeroflove40th for more info.
