Thanks for the heads-up, and for hosting so far. > * Move the floatcanvas list to floatcan...@thousandparsec.net Is that your baby? Paul McNett wrote: > I can host the list on my mailman server. I suppose another option may be to host on the wxWidgets servers -- Robin, do you think that's possible? > * Everyone has to resubscribe. > * Archives not kept. > * 'Feature rich' interface. > Which do people think are the best? My fist instinct is to move to another Mailman server, so we can preserve everything. Also, as It happens, I prefer Mailman lists, though it doesn't make a huge difference. One of my key issues with Google groups is that it's been hard for me to subscribe to one just like a regular old mailing list, with a non-gmail address (even though I do have a gmail address). In short: google groups has a better web interface Mailman has a better classic mailing list interface. If we go Mailman, I'd like to take Paul up on his offer, as he has also offered to host TRAC, which we need to move also (or dump TRAC, and move everything to the wxPython Wiki -- not a bad option, either) Please, every put in your $0.02, so we can make a decision that works best for everyone. -Chris -- Christopher Barker, Ph.D. Oceanographer Emergency Response Division NOAA/NOS/OR&R (206) 526-6959 voice 7600 Sand Point Way NE (206) 526-6329 fax Seattle, WA 98115 (206) 526-6317 main reception chris.bar...@noaa.gov _______________________________________________ FloatCanvas mailing list FloatCanvas@mithis.com http://mail.mithis.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/floatcanvas
