Hi,

when you run a flowscan he consumes files from directory
at which he was started, gets data from flows and saves
used files to the "saved" subdirectory. When "saved" don't
exists flowscan deletes original files, they just disapear.
The idea is to change format of netflow files form flow-tools
to the cflowd (at least my flowscan use a cflowd file format)
and to put exported files to the directory where you run your
instance of flowscan. When you use a linkme script you link
original flow-tools to the location where flowscan works.
So, the first thing to know is what flowformat your flowscan
uses.

Robert

Thanks Leigh / Roberts,

Actually you both provided useful answers.

Leigh, please can you tell me where to create the 'saved' folder so that the
data for netflow will no longer be deleted !

Robers, If i follow your drift, I'll capture the netflow data with
flow-capture (so I'll not need to start ./rc.flowcap as described in
netflowguide.com), then I'll export the netflow data to a folder that
flowscan can access. But to do that, do I need to modify the linkme script ?

Kind regards

Dayo
