Okay, on the 6509 for sampling, you should have this:
mls nde sender version 5
mls sampling time-based 64 (choose the value you want here)
mls netflow sampling (should be on every major interface)
ip route-cache flow(again on every interface)
ip flow-export source (whatever your source interface will be)
ip flow-export version 5 origin-as(I like to use origin but it's your
choice)
ip flow-export destination (collector ip and port)

That should do it.

I export data from a Cisco 6509 too and it does support sampling. If you
need specific instructions on how to sample traffic on the 6509, I'll be
happy to help.
