Iif you wish to put a machine there to do your reporting, or at least stage the transfer of the data to the remote monitor for flow-tools to get at later it may work better if those links are overloaded.
Your router will tell you though if packets can't be sent (should). You may be able to adjust the buffer for that however to store for longer before xmit. That won't mess with your time intervals for your flow data though.
Flow-tools has the best of the tools out that, imho, so for now it's my only reporting/recording tool.
Maybe stager I think it is will be my next project to check.
Do you think that is the way to do it, maybe a bit more sloppy having all the routers to choose from in the reporting tool, but easier than trying to figure out the other advanced reporting tool? Or at least until someone has the time to write up a good how-to for it…

Subject: Re: [Flow-tools] Multiple routers - netflow export via WAN?
I think the general rule is 1% of the total pipe size.

I am exporting netflow data out of our core router (which has several
frame connections coming in from remote sites), but I cant segregate
what remote site is doing what traffic with the current reporting tool,
what im wondering is if I started exporting netflow data from the remote
site router to the flow collector here? Is there a lot of traffic that
this would create on the wan links?
Thanks
