Hi, I have set up our netflow collection using the instructions here: http://www.dynamicnetworks.us/netflow/3-configure-your-routers.html
However, I'm not quite sure if it is right to use peer-as or origin-as. According to this article: http://www.netcraftsmen.net/welcher/papers/netflow.html "Use the origin-as keyword for the AS of the source or destination address. Use peer-as for the AS of the ISP peer used to reach the source and destination. Omit either keyword if you have a non-BGP-speaking router (to save a few CPU cycles)." However it is still unclear to me. We have BGP speaking routers and the network guys are the one doing the configuration of those routers. I only do the netflow collector setup. Can you tell me if we should use "ip flow-export version 5 peer-as or origin as? All I know is that we have at least four different upstream providers and we are doing BGP to each. I'm only worried because I might be displaying erroneous reports, let's say I use flow-stat to report the top destination or source AS. Thank you. ____________________________________________________________________________________ Finding fabulous fares is fun. Let Yahoo!
