File chooser dont work in Windows XP compiled with MingW. The directories
names are empty in the file chooser. I solved the problem removing all
conditional preprocessor and making a #include<dirent.h> in scandir.c.

Yes, this code is copied from a library that is LGPL. However this
code is #ifdef'd out on most machines including Linux and
Windows. Therefore our modified LGPL (which explicitly allows static
linking) can be used on all such machines.
