In any case, it looks like we're slowly eliminating problems :-) As for the wrap_mode(1, 0) problem, I'll need to poke around in the code to see what's happening as I haven't looked at that so far. And, yes, you are right. There is a lot of almost-duplicate code in there, several loops with an extra if statement in the header, or tangled with the loop body, so it's hard to get a handle on all code paths.
