[STR New] Link: http://www.fltk.org/str.php?L2478 Version: 1.3-current When testing DND (STR #2472) I found the following weird behavior that is slightly different on Windows and Linux. Not tested on Mac. Edit text in test/editor, select text by dragging the mouse, then drag'n'drop the text to another app - all is well. Note that you must select text by dragging the mouse. Then unselect the text, position the cursor somewhere, select text by using SHIFT/Arrow-Key. Drag this text somewhere - the dropped text consists of the previous selection. And here comes the difference: Windows: Click on the source window, e.g. the title bar, so that the selection stays active, as it was before. Now, drag it again ... this works. Linux: Another click on the source window doesn't change the behavior. You must select the text you want to drag with the mouse. Priority is "high", because the visible feedback (selected text) shows something different than what really happens.
