Please do not use CMake, this is not officially supported by the FLTK team (although FLTK includes CMake files). FLTK contains ready-to-use IDE files for Visual C++. If you want to use VC++ 2008 Express, please go to the vc2005 subdirectory and click on the file fltk.sln - this should start VC2008. You can also open the file from within VC2008. Then you must confirm to convert all project files. Now select your build environment (debug or release), maybe select the "demo" project, and start "build project". This should run and give you some warnings, but should succeed. Maybe you must run it twice to build all project successfully. You should also consider using FLTK 1.3. This contains IDE files and a README file in the ide subdirectory. You'll find VC2008 project files there. If you have further questions, please ask in the user forum "fltk.general".
