Thoughts?" That depends on which older SunOS/Solaris versions we want to support. It looks like there are really old versions still alive. That said, I could imagine to force FLTK's scandir if we don't find the POSIX headers, but use Sun's (Oracle's) function if we find the POSIX compliant headers. This should probably keep the compatibility with old versions, but use the new versions on current Solaris systems. That ought to be only a minor change in configure.in.
