i used another system: Laptop with Linux Mint( Kubuntu).
Compiz not installed, desktop effects deactivated.
Result from "device" example: negative, PDF output about 2,2 kb but nothing
visible in PDF-viewer.
I applied the patch, same result.
All tests with r8744.
Is it possible to send me a r8756 per Email, i will continue
testing but i cannot access the SVN-reps.
