And yes, I can confirm that "u2d -U configh.in" does the job - I have used tortoise to fetch the repository. Seems like autoconf problem (or whatever tools it uses, maybe conftest). Not sure what to do in the mean time - maybe change status of configh.in to binary within svn? Or adding some simple "bootstrap" or "create-configure" script for svn users which would invoke this u2d and also autoconf? And "thanks" to the guy (whoever it was, probably someone working with old typewriter-like printers) who thought that [CR][LF] is also a good way to finish the line and treat text files differently than binary ones. I'm sure many life-times were wasted trying to figure out bugs induced by that decision.
